Monthly Meetings
Our meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m. The meetings consist of an educational component to assist our members in their professional development. We attempt to bring industry-related speakers to keep our members abreast of relevant real estate issues and concerns affecting the communities we serve. We take our knowledge and information into the community through our extensive outreach programs.
Some of these programs consist of seminars to address the needs of the general public.
Seminars
Home Buyers: Workshops are given to buyers explaining the entire home buying process to include presentations by our real estate agents, loan officers, home inspectors, appraisers and title representatives.
Home Sellers: Workshops are given to educate our sellers in the best way to prepare, price and market their homes for sale.
Credit Counseling: The majority of our members are credit counselors….. “Freddie Mac CreditSmart” Certified to present throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
Chapter/Member Activities
Our Chapter hosts a Membership Drive held in conjunction with the National Association’s Realtist Week Celebration….however, efforts to promote membership continue throughout the year. We encourage all professionals in the real estate industry to join our Chapter of REALTIST®.
Networking: Our Realtist Week Activities culminate with our Annual Spring Mixer held at a prominent Washington DC venue - a great opportunity to have fun and network with other industry professionals.
Social Events: The Chapter sponsors several social events during the year affording real estate professionals in all disciplines to “meet’n greet” in a relaxed environment.
Our main fund-raising event… The Anniversary Gala, held in November of each year….a well-attended, not-to-be missed, first-class event.
Throughout the year, WREBA participates in numerous activities partnering with other organizations; i.e., DC-Housing Finance Agency, Greater Washington Urban League, Federal Housing Administration … once again providing services to the communities in need of our services.
