President’s Message
As the 2009 President of the Washington Real Estate Brokers Association (WREBA) ~ AND on behalf of the Board of Directors, Chapter Officers, Members and affiliates, we say THANK YOU for visiting our website. We are the District of Columbia Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).
WREBA just completed its 70th year of service to the under-privileged, under-served communities of the District of Columbia. We’re apart of the oldest, minority trade association in these United States. Our Members are comprised of real estate professionals working in the areas of sales, mortgage financing, development, construction, property appraisals, property management as well as affiliates who provide insurance, consultations, education all within the realm of real estate. Members are called “Realists” with a Mission of promoting “DEMOCRACY IN HOUSING”.
Our Nation is about to embark on totally new horizons with our new United States President in what has presented itself to be the most difficult economical times. It’s a time when we must ALL reach…help ourselves and those less fortunate.
WREBA strives to assist not only minorities but all who want to accomplish their goal of homeownership. We’re attempting to educate through our community outreach programs those interested in becoming home owners. We’re working to reach those homeowners who need to know how and what to do in order to maintain the homes they own…. avoiding foreclosure.
As you explore our website, we hope you’ll be inspired to investigate further and chose to be a part of our Association. Join us and help expand our reach. Contribute to our efforts to help those that need help AND help yourself as well.
Our meetings are held at the District of Columbia’s Housing Finance Agency at 815 Florida Avenue, NW on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. We meet from 1:00 – 3:00pm with a brief network / reception and educational program preceding the meeting. |
